At the time of writing (early August 2026), Cambridge University is top of the pops, for all the wrong reasons.
This has always been true, as 1967 saw their Experimental Theatre Group taking a production of A Midsummers Night’s Dream by ye olde William Shakespeare on a brief European tour.
Don’t often feel sorry for the Euro lads, but this must have been grim. Based on no evidence whatsoever, I suspect there were coach loads of poor school children getting prodded along.
