Glenda Jackson appeared in, what one hopes was a translation, Big and Little (German: Groß und klein), also known as Great and Small, a 1978 play by German writer Botho Strauß. The work is a ten-scene station drama that follows a woman named Lotte as she travels through Germany seeking human connection but fails because everyone she meets is trapped in their own isolated world.
Sounds dead cheery. But the programme is available for your perusal as an internet based electronic flippy hing, over there.
